The time for awareness
is now.

Most people have no idea what's being lost. Eyewitness exists to change that – photographers working as the agents of the movement, in their own communities, with tools built centrally, waking the world up to what memory needs. This is grassroots global storytelling, at scale.

Phase one

Build the machine

The foundation of a movement that lasts: a fully costed two-year plan, a not-for-profit structure with its assets legally locked to the mission, and the first Founding Partners – the companies who make photography possible – taking their positions.

At the same time, we build what photographers will actually use: the Eyewitness badge, downloadable campaign kits in multiple languages, and the platform that connects the network – sign-up, member directory, kit downloads and the Eyewitness newsletter.

Phase two

Launch in the UK

The movement goes public: a manifesto film, launch exhibitions, and a press push that takes the message beyond the photography bubble. The first badged Eyewitness Photographers begin work in their communities – with schools, care homes, councils and local media – reconnecting people with printed memory, one city, one story, one exhibition at a time.

Phase three

Take it worldwide

The rollout spreads – Australia, then Europe, then the US – through local chapters led by ambassador photographers and supported centrally. Every activation joins a shared archive: a living record of human memory restored through print.

The education platform

Free education from the world's best

The Eyewitness Ambassadors – internationally recognised photographers, mentors and educators – will fill the member platform with teaching: technique, craft, and the business of photography. Free to every Eyewitness Photographer.

This is deliberate. Education is how the movement gives back to the photographers who carry it – and it will keep growing until Eyewitness is the biggest free educational platform for photographers anywhere.
